Meet Lucky. He’s 14 years old and very happy to be alive. He loves human contact, food and being able to wander around freely. As our most senior dog, he’s looking for a place where he can live out the rest of his days in comfort with lots of love and freedom.

Lucky came to us a few months ago in a terrible state and has made a miraculous recovery. He was found near Lisbon by one of our guests who could not bear to leave him suffering any longer. He was chained up at a workplace outdoors in a very poor state of health and appeared to have given up on life. However, she saw the spark in his eyes and worked with the Tamera team to bring him to the shelter.  Since then, his health and confidence has soared and he loves life. 

Lucky loves company, both humans and dogs. However, he is old and deaf which requires some awareness and consideration. We take him on a very small daily walk, which he loves, but he cannot walk far and get's out of breath easily.

He would be super content to just be in the garden and around the house of people that are much of the time at home, have a cosy bed and good, yummy food. ow how he loves to eat! He would suit someone who’s happy to have him as a companion for as long as he has left, whether that’s months or years. If this sounds like you, then please get in touch.
