Ponto de Encontro

"Ponto de Encontro" Project is a social project aimed at promoting the inclusion, participation, and integration of young immigrants, aged 18 to 35, with a focus on immigrant women, in the municipality of Odemira.

The project is based on a participatory approach involving young immigrants, partner organizations, and companies, seeking to address identified needs, promote relational skills, and contribute to more inclusive contexts, both in the community and in the workplace. More specifically, the project seeks to intervene at two levels: in an organizational context, more specifically in two companies, and in the community.

Activities include informal and on-the-job Portuguese language training, awareness-raising actions aimed at deconstructing issues related to Gender and Cultural Diversity, psychosocial and legal support, sports and cultural events, and listening and sharing sessions, aiming to create spaces for intercultural encounter and dialogue.

The project implementation is accompanied by a system of continuous monitoring and participatory evaluation, allowing for the measurement of results, adjustment of methodologies, and systematization of best practices, with the potential for continuity and replication.
